Make a Plan
- First of all, you need to select your location and zoning.
- Now select the contractor you want to go with.
- Tell the contractor about all your needs, requirements, and basically everything that you have dreamt of about your house.
- Discuss the budget and pricing.
- Now decide on the structure design, engineering, energy scale, septic design, etc.
- Get the plan in written form and sign the contract with the contractor.
Process of Construction
- Once you and your contractor are done with the above-mentioned things, your contractor can apply for the permit.
- After the approval of the permit, you can order all the required materials.
- Rough plumbing, the building of pads, drilling, etc.
- Structure building, setting of doors and windows, and interior framing.
- Electrical, mechanical, and plumbing work.
- Inspection.
- Doors, windows, interior, paint, drywall, etc.
- Flooring and ceiling.
- Electric and AC trimming.
- Hardware like cabinets, toilet fittings, etc.
- Painting and cleaning.
- Final inspection.
